Kashmiri – This is the most dominant language of Kashmir. It is the native Kashmiri language. Kashmiri is an Indo-Aryan language and is popularly called as Koshur in local term.
It is the second most spoken language of Kashmir. It language specially used by Kashmiri pandit and Gujjar communities.
Dogri language is a very popular in India and belongs to the family of Indo Aryan languages. Speak mainly in Jammu and Kashmir region besides this also spoken in northern Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and somewhere also called the Pahari language. The people speak Dogri called Dogras and their region is called as Duggar. Dogri language is actually a member of the Western Pahari languages group.
The Muslim population speaks Urdu language in Kashmir. It is an Indo-European language. Its sound very similar to Hindi. Urdu is the only language in the world that is written and read from right to left.
Now English is speak widely in the world. Kashmiri accept English to get easy touch with outer world. Locale, Guides, Shopkeeper and businessman widely use this language.
